Our commitment to guests with disabilities
The Organic campsite La Roche d’Ully**** was awarded the Tourism & Handicap label on 30 June 2016!
We aim to offer solutions for 4 categories of disabilities (visual impairments, hearing impairments, intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities).
For physical disabilities: all buildings at the campsite are wheelchair accessible: reception, grocery store, restaurant, toilet blocks, laundry room and game room. The camping area is flat and allows for easy passage. Pitches near the toilet bocks are specially designed for persons with reduced mobility. An area with a shower, toilet and sink can be found in the main toilet block. A second toilet is available in the restaurant. The washing-up sinks and laundry sinks are wheelchair accessible. A free dishwasher is available (washing time 5 min.).
For hearing impairments: the reception area is equipped with a LoopHEAR 101 hearing aid device. Our staff is trained to assist with this type of disability, and the prices, restaurant menu and campsite information are all available in writing.
For intellectual disabilities: all the information in the campsite is written in large letters. Our staff is trained to assist with this type of disability, both at reception and in the restaurant. The paths throughout the campsite allow for easy passage and are named on simple, easy-to-read signs with texts and drawings. We take the time to describe and explain all the information that our guests might need.
For visual impairments: all the information in the campsite is written in large letters. Our staff is trained to assist with this type of disability, both at reception and in the restaurant. We take the time to describe and explain all the information that our guests might need. The paths throughout the campsite allow for easy passage and are named on simple, easy-to-read signs, and the contrasted materials used on the grounds allow for an easy distinction between roads, paths, terraces, playgrounds and sports fields. Our signs are written in large letters wherever possible.
We are not perfect when it comes to this complex and sensitive issue, but our objective is to improve each year in order to provide our guests with the most pleasant stay possible.
Since the 2016 season, A Caborde Cottage accessible to persons with reduced mobility, as well as a Canadian Lodge, are available to welcome all our guests in the best conditions. These two rentals also have the Tourism & Handicap label.
We would be happy to hear any suggestions that you have on this subject.
